Horses sometimes rear and neigh in protest over the weight on their backs and this tractor with a heavy trailer of copra in tow in Buka, Bougainville seemed to have reacted in an almost similar fashion. It seemed the extra kennel of copra that ‘broke the tractor’s back’ came from the intensity with which Buka parents are producing copra to help meet the school fees of their children this year.
