Bankers ready to spoil netball party

By HENRY MORABANG
BANK South Pacific (BSP) will be out to spoil the party for competition leader, Brian Bell when they kick off the Private Companies netball games on Sunday at Rita Flynn Courts at Boroko.

Led by Madlene Topalemu and Renagi Dringo, if she is still playing, the bankers should give the competition leaders a good run for their money.
Brian Bell accounted for 31-12 win against co-leaders, Fairdeal in the opening game of the second round and would be very hard to stop if BSP does not take them seriously on Sunday.
Veteran Lucy Emboge will lead the Brian Bell girls against BSP. Shooting pair Solita Roge and Lina Raka played a vital role in their win against Fairdeal are expected to do the same on Sunday.
Both Roge and Raka will be assisted by Jacinta Api, Larisa Tabua and Osma Henry
In the second match, Violet Banian ill lead her girls such as Annette Sela, Goada Udu and Nojan Leka to take on NTIL.
In the other games, STC Finance will find the going gets tough against Moore Printers while in the main fixtures of the afternoon, Kina will challenge Fairdeal.
Fairdeal with Seri Nao, Geno Gideon, Ilima Kokena, Cecilia Aihi, Nelly Boiro and Samantha Jeiso should prove too strong for Kina Securities.
In other PCNC related news, the scheduled Umpire’s Refresher Course did not go ahead as planned and will definitely start on Sunday.
PCNC member Violet Banian said the starting time is at 8.30am untill 12 noon before the game starts. The participants must bring these materials along if they want to sit in course which includes pen/pencil, note pad, whistle and a band e.g hair ribbon.
She said the course have attracted a good number of participants so far. Those of you who have no names but have an interest must do so before Sunday.
Banian said last week’s attendance had been appalling.
“Quite a large number of games were double-forfeited. Everyone, please make an attempt to turn up for scheduled fixtures, as games will not be postponed unless there is bad weather,” she said.
