Rams expected to walk over Stones

BUMBU Rams hooker Sawa Peter holds the key to his side’s hopes against Chuave Stones in the Buimo off-season rugby league tomorrow.

Peter will be relying on his backline combination of Markie Anton, Sticky Adams, Andrew Rocky, Garry Joe and Jimmy Maus to provide the support to gain valuable metres up front to gain territorial advantage.
Chuave Stones has a fast backline and will rely on fullback Des Kumuno to lead the young charges combination of Jacob Seken, Junior Ron, Kaupa James and halfback Arnold Rauana up front to lay the foundation
Rams had the advantage over Stones and had to cut down on ball handling errors and flow the ball around to keep opponents to cross the line.
In other games competition leader Jets United should walk over Lae Dudus, Asu Dragons will face a stiff battle against Bundi Giants and Rangers to meet Mexico Lions in another interesting tussle
Highway Slaves should continue the winning run against an equally determined Abbatoir Bulls, Rollers meet Pythons, Four-Mile Mates takes on Y2K Roosters, Zogie Dogs clashes with FTM Steelers and Magpies plays Forboh Hills
Buimo off season rugby league coordinator Elson Goro said the competition was progressing very well into round ten this weekend.
“All the games were played according to schedule last weekend and we expect the same this weekend and I urge all the clubs to turn up on time and play their games according to their respective draws,” Goro said.
Jets United is leading the competition on 12 points in pool 1 followed by Lae Dudus also on 12, Asu Dragons 11 and Abbatoir Bulls.
Highway Slaves are also leading pool 2 with 13 points followed behind by Mexico Lions 12, FTM Steelers 12 and Four-Mile Mates on 11.
