Nita’s death a great loss to UPNG

IT was a shock to hear that one of PNG’s top environmental scientists and academics has passed away.
Dr Nita was a humble person who had high respect for students and staff at UPNG. It takes time to educate and build one’s educational and professional career and Dr Nita’s untimely death is a great loss to UPNG and the nation.
His achievements would be kept in written records, one of which was the “PNG national assessment report” he prepared for United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs Commission for Sustainable Development, New York, June 2006.
My family’s deepest condolences to Betty and the three children and we pray that God will comfort you in this time of sorrow.

Daniel Leke & family, Adelaide
