Fence blown down

The present strong winds felt around PNG have left its mark in Madang town landmarks such as the Ron Albert Oval – the venue of SP Cup and local rugby league games.
The Ron Albert’s aging perimeter fence gave way to the winds and collapsed in several sections over the last fortnight .
The corrugated iron fence, which was barely standing on rotten timber posts, gave way to the might of the winds and collapsed, creating several gaping holes with other sections waiting to fall in the next strong winds.
