Biased MAF service

MAF has been operating in the North Fly district of Western and Telefomin district in Sandaun for a long time and we appreciate this.
However, its level of service has dropped significantly. It does not service certain places anymore and also flies to some others only once every two or three months.
Other airlines have taken the centre stage with daily or weekly flights.
We have not been told the reason for the drop in MAF services and wonder whether it has anything to do with two crashes in the 1990s.
What are MAF’s objectives now?
MAF is a mission-run service and it should strive to meet the needs of the general community.
With regular and reliable air services, many students, employees of Ok Tedi Mining Ltd, and contractors will have to remain in Tabubil or, if they can afford it and also prepared for the risks, travel to other places to catch a charter.
Last year, the Fly River provincial government contributed K250,000 to MAF – how was the money used?

Affected passenger
Tabubil
