Do not use bias views to spoil good ties
PATRICK O’Conner really knows how to produce a tirade of
anti-Australian dribble, whilst ignoring the facts.
Julian Moti is an Australian and as we in Australia truly do have an
independent judiciary he should have submitted to Australia’s justice system
and let evidence or lack of evidence determine his fate.
This issue is not about Ramsi.
Moti was in flight from Australian legal authorities and facing serious
charges, members of the PNG Government and its agencies then assisted his
escape. They should hang their heads in shame.
This is more about Sir Michael Somare taking his shoes off than any
Melanesian brotherhood garbage.
O’Conner should have spoken to Moti’s alleged victim before denouncing her
as perpetrating the “jumped up child sex charges”.
O’Conner is just a whinging anti-Australian who thinks a nice writing style
will cover up his pathetic bias.
I did not hear him mention “neo-colonialism” whilst Australian defence
personnel were making the only substantial contribution in Oro during the
disaster.
Australia and PNG are neighbours with close historical ties.
We are in the Pacific together and together over the next century we are
going to face substantial pressure from countries with hugely out of control
populations that will not want what is in the best interest of Papua New
Guineans and Australians alike.
That is a fair and equal system of government that delivers a good and
improving standard of living and opportunity.
We live next to each other, we have to be good neighbours.
Let us focus on the true colonial persecutor of Melanesian people,
Indonesia.
