What have PNG achieved since independence?

PNG has been independent for more than 32 years and more than K60 billion has been spent to develop this young nation.
After all these time and efforts, what have we achieved?
Millions of kina have been spent on HIV/AIDS and yet there are no sign of improvement.
There are signs of corruption and Papua New Guineans are deprived of their rights to basic goods and services.
Pirated products can be found all over the country.
Do we have to depend on pirated products?
The people are roaming the streets, poverty-stricken and struggling to survive. Violence against women and children, violence against men folk, law and order, rape cases, prostitution and tribal fights are at the peak.
There is a lack of good governance, transparency and good working relationship among ministers.
Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare, it is time for you to play the game it should be played, above board.
