Three media personnel cheat death

THREE media personnel escaped death when their vehicle overturned along the Bela road in the upper Mendi district in the Southern Highlands province.
The accident resulted from a brake failure.
Those in the vehicle at the time of the accident included Chief Sgt Peter Langiri and senior Const Mandi Wandua, who are attached to the State of Emergency police media unit in Mendi, and National Broadcasting Corporation reporter Joe Kereme.
The brakes of the vehicle failed as the vehicle was descending a slope causing the vehicle to overturn after it hit the side of the road.
Mr Kereme said they all were fine except Sgt Langiri, who sustained a fractured shoulder blade.
Sgt Langiri was admitted to the Mendi Hospital and later discharged.
