Muaina pride of Sinasina

I REFER to the Muaina High School in Simbu province. It is the pride of the Sinasina Yongomugl people and it has produced graduates with Grade 8 certificates to PhD.
Last November, I travelled home and found the school was empty.
I later discovered that there was no money to run the school and it had to close early.
I was sad and furious with the situation.
School fees and subsidies have always been enough to operate and manage the school for an entire academic year. It is only through mismanagement that such problems arise.
The students deserve a good end of year graduation.
Parents and staff of the school also expect this as it is the norm of all schools across the country. There was none to that effect.
The headmaster should be ashamed as he was in charge of the affairs of the school, including finance.
He should have managed the affairs of the school with diligence and trust. Thank goodness he has been given the boot.
I call on the authorities in Kundiawa and Waigani to investigate and charged the headmaster.
Before I end, I call on the Speaker of Parliament to inject some funds into Muaina and raise it to a secondary school status so it can compete with the other three secondary schools in Simbu.
