Menai challenged
I CHALLENGE the Karimui-Nomane Member Posi Menai to reveal his electoral development plans and social services priorities as this is his second term in office. In his first term, virtually nothing was carried out in the electorate. He cannot boast of the district treasury rollout programme because it was done by the Treasury Department. There is nothing tangible from him thus far. One of his biggest failures was his inability to solicit ideas from the educated elite in the area to plan and execute development projects and deliver services. Now that he has K10 million, he must set priorities and plans which are transparent. As an educated young leader, he must have loads of plans. – Gomla Yal, Nokul village

Greetings from Logos Hope

GOOD morning. I’m sending this from mv Logos Hope, mv Doulos’ new and bigger sister ship. We are now berthed in the city of Kiel in Germany. My name is Isabel Gavera and I am from Hanuabada village, Port Moresby. I am honoured to serve God on board Logos Hope. I urged Papua New Guineans to visit Doulos and meet its crew and chat with them. Also, don’t forget to buy a book to remind you of that visit. – Isabel Gavera, mv Logos Hope

Demanding more for less

THE management of a hostel at Voco Point, Lae, is very demanding. They demand rentals even though it is not the tenants’ fortnight yet. However, it takes a long time for us to get back our bond fee. I wonder if they have a computerised system and proper book keeping. The rent has gone up but there is no maintenance. That, in my opinion, is not fair. – Unsatisfied tenant, Lae

Speaker taken to task

I BELIEVE it is time for the Speaker to vacate his seat for the sake of the nation. I also call on Ombudsman Commission check his previous record. – Okoro Upa Mapno, Kaminsu
