Make a decision that is convenient for the country

THE impending changes among head of departments have been making the headlines in recent days.
And one of the names being touched on is Valentine Kambori, the acting Secretary for National Planning and Monitoring.
Kambori’s stand is clear. I have heard him talk, assessed the way he does things and my assessment is that he deserves a higher office and higher call of duty.
He may have his shortfalls as a human being, but my judgement of him as chairman on various boards, and as Secretary for National Planning and in his past job as NARI director, he has performed exceptionally well.
He is very knowledgeable and an asset that needs to be fully utilised.
I am from Afore in Oro and not a Sepik, so I am not being biased.
He is a true Papua New Guinean.
So please do not make a decision for political, regional and party convenience that the country will regret.
