A pat for print media in PNG

THE local newspapers – The National and Post-Courier – have so far been doing excellent jobs in compiling news and information for the people of Papua New Guinea.
They report on many issues affecting the nation and its people.
The media freedom has enabled media companies to make impartial reporting without fear or favour.
They have contributed immensely to the development of this nation since their inception.
They are spot on in their reports on cases and issues and would always strive to get down to the bottom of things and thereby revealing many truths to us on illicit activities and unjust conducts of many people of both high and low status.
Adding to the list are the conduct, and good and bad services of parliamentarians and of those in the positions of authority.
The role of media in PNG is very significant as it is not merely reporting on what’s happening in PNG but around the world.
They also make those in authority and government ranks and files wake up and to be on their toes.
Those of us in the high mountains of Daulo Pass and Siane ranges of EHP, who are able to get our dailies in town, are able to keep track with what’s happening in PNG and around the world, would like to give you a pat on the back. Please keep up the good work.
