Rapatona is not taking Madang clash lightly

INSPAC Rapatona will not underestimate Madang Fox when they meet in the National Soccer League match at Telikom Park in Port Moresby tomorrow.

Trainer Clement Anisan Cafu told The National that his team will not undermine the capabilities of their opponent and have treated Fox as tough customer in tomorrow’s NSL match.
He said Jason Wesley and Andrew Marampau junior will arrive today from their PNG Under 23 camp in Lae to boost their attacking power. Maramapu is fast becoming a household name in NSL competition.
Cafu said both will be drafted into the team to support Rapatona’s campaign.
He said he is working along with head coach Kisakiu Posman to find a good combination to beat Fox to stay in the top four positions.
“There is no room for underestimating our opponent. We will take them as they come and hopefully come out top in the end,” he said.
Cafu said his boys really want to win to keep tab with the competition frontrunners Hekari United and Tuguba Laitepo Morobe Kumuls.
Winless Madang Fox has so far recruited two players, midfielder Stanis Gafinu and striker Johnson Romo from sister team, Besta Madang Fighters. These two players will provide attacking option against Rapatona.
The National was unable to contact coach Bob Morris but it is understood that Madang Fox will field the same last weekend’s line-up against Rapatona.
The Madang team currently does not have any striker which forced coach Morris to use Adrian Komu as alternate striker.
With the inclusion of Romo, Komu is likely to comeback in the midfield to partner Stanis Gafinu to ensure their striker has enough supply of balls to win the match.
It should be an easy match for Rapatona but don’t count the eggs before it hatch. Madang Fox are capable of causing upset.
The unofficial points ladder is as follows: Hekari United 17, Morobe Kumuls 16, Inspac Rapatona 15, Gelle Hills 12, Welgris Highlander 7, Besta Madang Fighters 4 and Madang Fox 1.
