Final volleyball matches on this weekend

THE Hohola Volleyball Association will witness its final round of matches this weekend in both the men’s and women’s divisions at Hohola Volleyball Courts in National Capital District
All the teams will be going out to cement a placing in the finals with a final top 8 formal adopted by the association.
In the men’s, Namona should have wrap up the minor premiership at the expense of Bullets as nearest rival Ebony Blackwoods is on 41 points.
The points’ ladder (top 8) as of round 17 sees Namona on top with 46 points followed by Ebony Blackwood (41) Yariva (39), 29 Mukies (39), Zeryou (36) Bullets (33), Ebony Youth (31) and Panthers (26).
This weekend’s results will really determine the final top eight as teams are only separated by a few points and a win is a must for the teams in the top 8, if they are to make the playoffs.
While in the womens division, it is a heated tussle for the minor premiership.
The top eight standing as off round 17 sees Top Knights on 43 points followed by Yariva (42) Namona (41), Ebony Blackwood (41), Yamandu (40), FW Bumpers (40), Tigers (38), B/Titans (38) with Bullets (38) also in the running for a finals placing.
Both Top Knights and Namona have competed their mandatory 18 rounds of games and are on the bye this weekend, while Yamandu, Tigers and Bullets have an outstanding game in hand.
Match committee chairman, Ivan Fari, has indicated that games will be on Saturday and Sunday and has made an appeal to certified referees from associations in NCD to come and help in officiating during this weekend games.
