Raukele take back top spot

RAUKELA are the sole competition leaders in Port Moresby after last weekend’s results which saw several upsets and some lackluster performances from the top four teams.
Bottom of the table Mariners (4/151) turned the tables on BNG Poreporena (10/147) with a gutsy six wicket win last Saturday.
Wesram Taora (10/207) continued the trend when they dispatched the in form Mobil STC (9/204) to record a three run win on Sunday.
KCC (9/189) on the other hand were able to regain their momentum heading into the final rounds of the comp with a handy two run piping of second placed SNS United (9/187).
But it was Raukele’s (9/161) one wicket victory over fellow Hula team TST Coasters (10/157) on Saturday that ended a dreadful run of outs that stretched four games.
Raukele have now regained their earlier mantle as the competition front runners but still have some way to go in proving their premiership credentials.
