Awards nomination deadline extended

THE nomination for the 2008 SP Sports Awards have been extended to Feb 20 due to slowness in submitting the nomination forms.
According to PNG Sports Federation, everyone has a right to nominate their sporting their favourite sportsperson, sporting hero, coach or even your favourite team.
The nominations can be submitted by anyone including national sporting associations, individual sportsmen and women, coaches, administrators, clubs, sports officials, the media and the public for any of the above awards.
With the extension of the nomination period the SP Sports Awards Organising Committee invites you to nominate your favourite sporting hero for any of the 13 categories in the SP Sports Awards 2008:
A Life Time Achievement award is also up for grabs as announced during the launch. This award is only bestowed to a sports person or team that wins the same award for the fourth consecutive time.
Nominations will only be accepted on the Official Nomination Form in respect of performance and achievements during Jan 1, 2007, and Dec 31, 2007. All relevant information should be attached including levels of achievements at national/international competitions, rankings as well as ongoing competition verification of results in various events.
The SP Sports Awards are for all sporting persons and bodies. The decision of the Awards Selection Committee is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
