New look FinCorp netball team in the lead

THE FinCorp netball team recently took delivery of new uniforms.
Maggie Kepa, team captain, provided the design to match the professional attitude of the team.
FinCorp and Air Niugini lead division two of the Private Companies competition, both teams having been promoted from division four last season, with FinCorp being the reigning premiers.
Although having an impressive 10-2 win-loss record, it hasnít been all one way traffic, especially in 2008.
Having rebuilt the team with four of the starting seven departing before the 2007-2008 season, FinCorp have played to their strengths, rather than spectacularly.In recent weeks, Theodist, Pryde Furniture and Port Moresby Transport have proved more competitive.On Sunday, FinCorp snatched a controversial victory over Crowne Plaza with a penalty goal awarded after the siren. Coach Loi Vele is very proud of her team, as often they compete against taller and heavier opponents with larger squads.With FinCorp used to the pressure of tight matches and having finals experience, the ladies are looking forward to the finals in March.
