Tabubil hospital ranked best

OK Tedi Mining Limited’s Tabubil Hospital may be ranked as one of the best, if not the best hospital in the country.
This is the view of Health Minister Sir Peter Barter, who recently launched a two-day health workshop in Tabubil, Western province.
After a brief tour of the hospital last Tuesday, Sir Peter commended OTML for its high standard of health facilities and services.
Sir Peter said everyone in Tabubil, the North Fly and Western province should count themselves privileged to have such a facility and health service.
“You can feel good in a hospital and you can feel bad in a hospital, even if it was a quick visit, I felt good. If it can be done here, it can be done anywhere in the country,” he said.
Health facilities and services like that provided by the Tabubil Hospital and other health service providers in the North Fly district was the centre of discussions at the health workshop.
The purpose of the workshop is to discuss and review the proposals for a new North Fly Health Agreement.
The North Fly Health Agreement is a public-private sector arrangement whereby OTML own and operate the health facilities and provide health services to its employees and their dependants.
