A touch of class for Bogabadas in
corporate touch competition
TEAM Bogabadas proved too strong for
its opponents winning convincingly 6-2 over arch rivals Team A-Badas
on Tuesday night trial match of Port Moresby corporate touch
competition.
In a game full of experience, there was no shortage of points as
the two teams kept the spectators on their feet throughout the
entire match.
But the team B outfit was more cohesive and came out night
belonged to ëIrishman’ Philip Appleton who scored an hat trick to
stamp his mark on the game.
The other scorers were a double from Murray Kwapena, a single each
to Joe Peregua and CTPM president Joe Yore.
John Aidaboe and Raymond Regione scored for Team A-badas. The
others to give valuable support to Team Bogabadas in that emphatic
victory were John Melvin, Bill Hamblin, captain Greg Leahy, and
Wesley Linge.
For Team A-Badas, it was an uphill struggle all night against
their well drilled and more determined opponents. But despite
that, Team ëA’ kept threatening the opponent line throughout the
entire match through tireless captain/coach John Bonot, vice
captain Michael Walo, John Aidaboe, Raymond Regione, Richard
Kassman, Yawa Jerry Atahu, Iamo Kwarara, and that special guest
appearance by Rick Seeto of Corporate Touch Lae.
Team Bogabadas went straight into business from the start knowing
they were a game down after the 5-3 disappointing loss last
Thursday night.
Tonight will see the third match in this series and fireworks can
be expected as the two teams try to go one higher.
The results in the womens saw PNG Sustainable Development Program
1 beat LJ Hooker 0, Prosec Security 1 beat Nationwide Catering
Services 0 and Eltech Engineering 1 beat NASFUND/AON 0,
In the open mens, Oil Search 3 beat Prosec Security 2 and PNG
Sustainable Development Program 3 drew with LJ Hooker 3
In the senior mix, Eltech Engineering 1 beat Nationwide Catering
Services 0, PNG Sustainable Development Program 1 beat LJ Hooker 0
and Prosec Security Wolfpack 5 drew with Oil Search 5.
