Charity
Whence ever flow the joyous tears
A glimpse of Heav'n doth register
Whence clock of age thus tick the breast
Eternity's sweet song doth rest
Whence inspiration echoes high
Essence thus lifted by and by
Whence still and small a voice sincere
Oh Charity! An end so dear

Honolulu evening
Mascara and shades
Lipstick thick red
Slim limbs in tight
jeans and blouse
she glides with grace
eyes follow with
wonderment
I'm fascinated.
My problem solved.
An animated
mannequin
Keeping me company
on the lonely sidewalks

Love's plea
You give to them
what you don't give us
You do for them
what you've never done for us
Our memories bittersweet
of a childhood filled
with neglect and abuse
And of childhoods lost
You try your best to
give them the world
and all we simply ask
is to feel your love
Making sadness abate
To know happiness
Not hate
By Jean Daure
Aftertaste
When coming home
These moments of rarity
Until they're gone
Like dinner left to cold
Wasted...even now
All I can recall
Is your strange grace
Once more
When there's nothing
Left to say
We're been betrayed by our kind
This wave of solicitude
Flushes over us again
Hardly could I ever tell
For you had been in hiding this
It may as well have been the twilight in your eyes
But I was certain
As the sun rises every morning
I saw the tear in your eye
