Swine fatalities
3 women, 1,000 pigs dead from mystery disease

THREE women in remote Mt Bosavi and Walagu, in Southern Highlands province have died after eating contaminated pork, while an estimated 1,000 pigs are known to have died from an outbreak of an as yet unidentified disease.

Final journey... Pioneering legislator and a founding father of the PNG Constitution Sir James Fraser was laid to rest last Saturday at the Nine-Mile Cemetery outside Port Moresby, after a solemn funeral service at the Sioni Kami Memorial Church in Boroko.The service was attendfed by late Sir James’ former colleagues including Governor-General Paulias Matane, foreign dignitaries and the Tongan Community, among others.
