Enga roads causing despair and fear

I am fed up of reading articles about Enga. The plain truth about Enga is that the vast and silent majority is living in fear.
The main roads linking Kandep to Laiagam, Porgera to Laiagam, Laiagam to Wabag, Kompiam to Wabag have all deteriorated. Even the newly sealed road from Wapenamanda to Wabag is filled with huge potholes.
And the smaller feeder roads like Lower Lai to Wapenamanda and many more are no longer in the state they were in 10 to 20 years ago.
Tribal fighting in Enga is a common occurrence. It is happening in almost all districts of Enga. The vast and silent majority is living under threat everyday. Even the innocent travelling public comes under constant attacks from gangsters at roads blocks.
This commonly occurs at villages where tribal fighting has occurred and people move to seek refuge elsewhere. Vehicle drivers cannot avoid these gun-wielding gangsters due to poor road conditions.
I have fallen victim to such gangsters on several occasions at Akom, Lai Bridge, Lama Bridge and the Liane Mountain.
Fix up the roads in Enga, increase police work by assisting with logistics and give them the nod to shoot to kill, and bring about tangible and sustainable development to Enga.
It is useless to say things like Enga is giving full backing to Peter Ipatas, Peter Ipatas is Enga’s hero, Peter Ipatas is Enga’s action governor and the other names you give your governor just to impress him and to fill your mouth with the free cash handouts floating around.
The only thing the current Enga government, under the governorship of Peter Ipatas, has benefited the vast and silent majority is the Enga Children’s School Fee Subsidy Scheme. This is a job well done.
However, until and unless Enga has good roads and the vast and silent majority is living without fear, I am sure that Enga will give you the full backing you need to go for the top job which you are dreaming of and have publicly declared in Enga to go for.
Yala pisamono, kiakange pii opale dee nalape.
