A MAN from Wapenamanda district, Enga province, escaped death after he was allegedly attacked by the Mt Hagen City authority workers with bushknives in front of police last Wednesday.
Pinda Yamberam, 23, from Pausa village was, apparently mistaken by city authority as a street boy was attacked because earlier that day, there was a clash at the Enga bus stop between the city authority workers and street boys.
Mr Yamberam told The National yesterday he was walking with a colleague towards Mt Hagen police station when the city authority workers surrounded him and attacked him.
