Bena youths prepare for grassroots sports

SEVENTEEN sports leaders from Unggai-Bena district recently completed a grassroots sports workshop at the Lampo Resource Centre in Bena recently.
The workshop was aimed at equipping sports officials with correct rules, regulation and techniques of various sports such as soccer, rugby touch, volleyball and basketball.
The grassroots sports workshop was conducted by Unggai-Bena community development project officer Siviri Lalave with the assistance from National Sports Institute and the PNG Sports Foundation officials.
Unggai-Bena MP Benny Allan thanked the organisers and encouraged more youths to get involved with grassroots sports programmes.
