Why no funding for Motu Koitabu villages?

There have been countless calls for the Motu Koitabu Council to be investigated, along with its business arm Tabudubu.
The Electoral Commissioner’s announcement that the local level government elections will be held in May indicates that time is fast running out.
If elections are held without an investigation, the newcomers to the council will suffer any fallout from current actions.
Nearly all Motu Koitabu villages have run completely dry of projects or any form of funding from the council.
In some villages, there is not a single drop of assistance, thus raising the question, “What is being done with the money due to us?”
“Is it being spent on political campaigns and preparations for the coming elections?”
I would like to call upon Minister Job Pomat and NCD Governor Powes Parkop to tell us whether they are blocking funding for Motu Koitabu because at the moment, that is how it seems.
Our councillors are telling us that all funding to the council were ceased toward the end of last year. “Is this true?” Can someone please tell us what is going on!
On behalf of the disadvantaged and ignored population of Motu Koitabu, I’d like to ask Chief Ombudsman Ila Geno and Transparency International Chairman, Mike Manning to take note of our situation.
