2 Goroka fathers win BSP promo contest

By ZACHERY PER
TWO parents in Goroka are the lucky winners of the K1,000 school fee promotion contest launched by the Bank South Pacific (BSP).
BSP Highlands regional sales manager Reuben Elijah handed a K1,000 cheque each to Rex Itege and Daniel Komet last Friday.
With the school fee promotion, BSP wants to help parents who are struggling to find money for school fees.
Parents around the country who applied for school fee loans had entered the draw to win a total of K10,000.
It it is a yearly event being undertaken by BSP.
Mr Elijah said similar promotions would be held in future, and for parents to qualify, they must submit school fee loan applications.
Mr Itege said he has eight children in school and has to produce at least K5,000 to meet their school fees.
He thanked BSP for solving his problem, saying that the K1,000 he just won would ease his financial burden.
He said his eldest child is attending the Divine Word University and he needs K2,360.
The other child attends the Goroka Secondary school while another two in Grade 8, one in Grade 6 and another in Grade 5. He also have two pupils in Grade 3 at Gama Primary School.
Mr Itege works for the Works Department while Mr Komet is a teacher at Wairopo community school.
