Outside control

WHILE I agree with Gamba Kama’s comments on “Vote in right leaders” in The National, I am sorry to say that voting in the right leaders to change the state of the nation will not happen.
It is just a dream.
The real problem is that we have lost control of our country.
We have looked and admired the west for too long that we have lost everything.
Our Members of Parliament and several prime ministers in the last couple of years had lost control.
Our country is now controlled by outsiders.
Our MPs are just listening to outsiders who are pulling the strings.
There is now a fight between the Asians and the Australians on who should be in the driver’s seat.
At first it was the Australians; now the Chinese have replaced them.
We have lost it. That is the real problem.
No matter who goes to Parliament, nothing will change unless this problem of taking control is dealt with.
I am proud to be a Papua New Guinean but I hate to see us being kicked around by outsiders.
