Mixed results at Hohola courts

CONFUSION and disagreements were the order of the day in the finals of Hohola Volleyball Association at the weekend.
This came about after a mix-up in the draws with teams not in agreement with how the draws were made, and various appeals are likely to be lodged by disgruntled teams with the match executives.
With consultations going ahead among the teams and match committees, games proceeded as planned with teams going head to head.
The men’s division saw Panthers turn the table on Namona to come out winners 3-2, Iariva continued with their winning form beating Ebony Youth, 3-1, Ebony Blackwood of led by Fishie Kavora defeated Bullets 3-1 and Zerupi took a step further towards the finals with 3-2 victory.
On Sunday, Panthers continued on the trot winning 3-2 over 29 Mukies and Zerupi lost their match against Namon 3-2 which they have lodged an appeal against while Eony Blackwood had the bye.
In the women’s B division, Zerupi 1 defeated their sister team Casa 3-0, Panthers beat Border Titans 3-0 while Taraga Dragons beat Flames 3-1.
The A division matches saw Ebony defeat Bullets 3-1, Namona won 3-1 over Iariva, Yamandu kept their winning run intact over Freeway Bumpers 3-0 and Top Knights flew over Tigers 3-1.
Meanwhile, the Iariva womens team was fined K50.00 fine for unsportsmanship conduct after using abusive language at the match officials over the weekend.
