Kerowagi needs decisive leader

THE people of Kerowagi need a young and vibrant leader to replace the current Member, who has questionable leadership qualities.
Those living in Port Moresby know where he frequently hangs out.
No wonder he has been dumped time and againfrom various ministerial capacities.
The latest is the Ministry for Police and Internal Security, where he could not adequately fill the chair left by the dark horse Bire Kimisopa.
To the many educated Kerowagians living in Port Moresby, he has brought shame to his electorate.
As the election period nears, it is evident that the educated elite are divided along tribal lines, a practice that is openly condemned yet deeply-rooted.
This may not favour the election of good candidates for the next five years.
Now is the time to get rid of tribal alliances and to select candidates that can truly represent Kerowagi and restore some lost pride.
We need a leader with proven national and international exposure, management skills and experience in both the private and public sectors, well-educated and possessing good moral standing.
We need the likes of Paul Tiensten, Bire Kimisopa, Arthur Somare and Don Polye, who have proven to be the next generation of leaders for Papua New Guinea.
These individuals are young , highly intelligent, smart, decisive and have good moral standing.
You don’t find them in nightclubs and pubs or spending endless hours playing pokies and taking regular leisure trips overseas.
They work very hard to manage the affairs of this country, their province and electorate.
