Gazelle has another daunting task ahead

By WENDY KATUSELE
GAZELLE face yet another daunting task when they take on a fired-up Stingerz in Port Moresby womenís softball competition tomorrow.
The match is set to create fireworks as Stingerz who have hit the winning combination at the right time have caused several upsets with reigning premiers Bears their latest victim last weekend.
In another interesting match Admiralty should give Budget Real Estate Wantoks a run for their money while Airways Bears take on Malangan.
Stingerz who have shocked Bears are quite determined to repeat that dose against the antelopes, and coach Oscar Karai and his assistant Nelson Simba knows what it takes to tame top teams.
Again he would be banking on wife and pitcher Selina Karai to combine with catcher Nicky Simba to add misery to Gazelleís batting line up which is one of the best in the competition.
Gazelle however, want to return to the winners circle and sluggers Jenny Pilak, Mectil Raymond, Pala Manet, Grace Wanma and youngsters Navasha Pilak and Chinta Wanma want to erase the bitter memories of last weekendís loss to Wantoks.
Stingerz batting prowess will be in the hands of Isabelle Paisat who had an outstanding game last weekend, Tersa Karai, Alice Kalas, Dorcas Horis, Leno Simba and Shorna Tata.
In another interesting fixture, Admiralty if serious about making the top four final placings should end Wantoks winning streak.
But will depend on coach Douglas Paak to instill discipline into the Manusianís batting and fielding, especially against a no-nonsense side like Wantoks.
