Aim for the top
JK, yu tok stret ya na wan bel istap konstant (what you said is very true of which I very much agree). Mi ting namba bilong superintendent igo moa long faiv na senior igo antap yet (I thought the number of superinetendent has gone up to five but the number of seniors are still going up). Sapos ol man igat yau na tinting ol bai harim na save (If only the people have ears and are mindful then they will listen and understand). Ol blind lida ikisim olgeta manmeri igo pudaun (The blind leaders have dragged everyone down). Nogat wanpela ikirap na igo (No one has gotten up and moved on). If we are suppressed in our own country and come to their country and survive, that is good, if we walk up the ladder, that is better; if many are walking up the ladder, that is even better; if many are up on an elevator; that is amazing. – PM , via email

Internet pricing is stupid
The whole purpose of the internet is to provide affordable access to information. Three years ago, in Australia, I was able to get 10 gigabytes of download at 512 kilobits per second for A$41 (K107) per month, excess download was A$3 (K7.50) per Gb. In PNG, this download package and speed would cost me K5,200 excess as downloads cost K350 per Gb. That is 48 times as expensive as Australia. What idiot at Pangtel or Tiare is responsible for this pricing structure? – Andrew, via email

Well done, Amba Demo
Mr Isaac and the teaching team, you have made us proud that the Amba Demonstration School has been ranked No 1 in the 2007 academic year, scoring a massive 86% in the Lae district. This is the first time ever and credit must be made to those hard working teachers and the school board for making history. As a parent, I am proud to have enrolled my three children at the school in the current year. Keep up the good work. – EB, Butibam

Telikom not there in Misima
Could someone please come out and tell us when the telephone services to Misima Island will be restored? The link has been down since November or December. I need to make sure my nephews and nieces’ school fees are settled soon or they will miss the opportunity of getting educated formally. – Adore Taukuro, France

Forget idea of leniency
How very tough to handle being caught then continue being not caught. I write in regard to the article “man pleads guilty to incest”. There has been an appeal for leniency. What rubbish; he will still come home if leniency is shown ... let him serve his sentence. – Frustrated Abau citizen.
