I would like to appeal to the Governor of Enga Peter Ipatas to reconsider his decision and subsidise our school fees.
The decision not to subsidise our fees is a very late decision, which is a blow to parents with young families in Enga.
You have promised that the students will always be at your heart but what has happened to your heart now?
We feel like we don’t have a guardian now.
Enga should maintain its ability to enrole the highest number of students in all the tertiary institutions in the country.
Now the Morobe, Southern Highlands and Western provinces’ students have taken over the lead.
We wish you have at least given our parents some time to look for money but your decision is a late decision.
It is the job of the Division of Education in Enga and the Education Department to address the quality of education in the country and in Enga.
We can take over that role but you must maintain the quality too.
Right now, the poor people of Enga need you to subsidise their children’s school fees.
Please if you let Enga down, you must know that you will let the country down.
Don’t let Papua New Guinea down.
