Nightclubs are places to have fun, relax

I read and hear lately about nightclubs being branded as a place that breeds immoral practices such as the spread of HIV/AIDS, promotion of prostitution, gambling and a cause of the disintegration of family values and norms.
However, on the other side of the picture, people go there to relax after a long week of hard work in an office environment or elsewhere.
They go with others to have fun and relax.
Nightclubs are part and parcel of every metropolitan city in the world.
A city with no entertainment areas is like a cemetery that no one would want to live in or visit.
Our leaders (both the Government and the church) should grow up with the changing times and come up with realistic and practical policies and laws that look beyond the night club scenario.
What I would like to suggest is to let good leaders like Minister for Justice and Attorney-General Dr Allan Marat, Minister for Community Development Dame Carol Kidu and others who are vocal on the topic to work to educate the young in primary schools, high schools and secondary schools so that when they get mature, they will know the wrongs and the rights in life.
