DALTRON and longtime business partner Microsoft yesterday hosted a workshop to update information technology (IT) specialists in the country.
The company held an inaugural Daltron Microsoft seminar on the latest IT trends around the world and on Microsoft’s latest products and services.
Daltron said it aims to become not only a provider of IT equipment and software but also as educator in the field of information technology.
The national sales and marketing manager Graeme Ridler said: “Microsoft is not just about MS Word, Excel, Power Point and other features.
“What we try to show is a roadmap of some 350 products that can be offered here in PNG”, he said.
He further said that a number of these products can be offered with a number of other services which are still yet to come but the people need to be aware of what is there to expect.
Neal Cross, a Microsoft expert from Australia, showed how individuals or businesses can conduct transactions without having to go to banks.
Called small business banking system, the technology enables people in small business to talk to bank advisors directly and get an update on business developments.
