Oil Search, Lihir Gold, Allied hike prices of shares on Aust mart

OIL Search, Lihir Gold and Allied Gold enjoyed significant increases in their share prices yesterday after the Australian Stock Exchange enjoyed a strong rally.
Lihir Gold rose A$0.24 to A$4.03 compared with a year high of A$4.45, while Oil Search rose by A$0.15 to A$4.57 compared to its record high of A$5.10.
Allied Gold, which recently commenced production at its Simberi gold mine, saw its share price rise by A$0.115 to A$0.825.
However, Highlands Pacific shed A$0.005 to A$0.135, Marengo shed A$0.001 to US$0.21 and Gold Aura fell A$0.002 to A$0.038..
Frontier Resources was up A$0.005 to A$0.115 while Emperor Mines added A$0.001 to A$0.063.
