State housing body incompetent

The National Housing Corporation (NHC) is incompetent.
The problems of housing and accommodation have been an on going issue for more than a decade.
The initial problem started when public housing was sold to individuals.
This caused a shortage for new public servants.
However, no action was taken to alleviate the problem in its initial stages.
Instead, authorities allowed the problem to grow exponentially.
Today the issue has gone beyond control of NHC.
And the only way would be to create a compulsory housing scheme for all Government departments.
Each department should take responsibility to construct and maintain their own accommodation.
This would distribute responsibility, rather than it all being concentrated in an individual department.
Accommodation by departments can only be provided to active members of an organisation. Retired or retrenched officers have to arrange accommodation elsewhere.
The NHC can help to do this.
A major investigation should also be done into the way NHC allocates housing.
