Father appeals for assistance

A FATHER is appealing for assistance to allow his son complete his dream of becoming a teacher.
Twenty-two-year old William Kairi was forced to withdraw from school after completing first year in 2006 because he had an outstanding payment of K5,000 and was required to pay K15,000 in order to do second year at the Pacific Adventist University (PAU).
Kairi and his family had exhausted all their efforts in securing K15,000 for this year’s school fee at PAU.
“It’s a really bad feeling to see your dreams so clearly out there but you cannot reach it because some things handicap you even when you know that you can achieve your dream, something you’ve always wanted, dreamt of and thought about countless times,” Kairi said.
Kairi was accepted into PAU in 2005 to do Bachelor in Secondary Education (BA Sec Ed) and completed his first year but could not continue because of his inability to pay school fees.
“I really want to become a teacher because I enjoy being around children and just watching them learn, gives me great satisfaction,” Kairi said.
He said the training was getting interesting, when he left and he is so eager to get back provided some miracle happens to him between now and March 10, which will be PAU’s registration day.
His father has called on the public and especially the Gulf community for assistance.
“We will really appreciate any effort done to help our William pursue his dream and will be forever grateful.”
