ERIKU basketball court in Lae is expecting a bumper crowd during the Lae Basketball Association grand finals on Sunday.
The Super 3 Basketball is a new concept devised and adopted by the LBA last weekend as part of the pre-season competition.
The first prize money of K1,000 is at stake for the men and women’s winners while the runners-up will walk away with K500.
Favourites Busu youngsters have already sounded a warning to other teams in the women’s divisions that they are definite finalists after beating Frozen Spiders, Lae Tech, Red Beach Whites and Reds.
According to tournament coordinator Charlie Gorogo, the top five teams in men and six in women division will play semi-finals before the grand finals in the afternoon.
