More fun for city runners

Time flies when you are having fun running in Port Moresby over the weekend.
Port Moresby Road Runners moves into its third month for the year tomorrow at Apex Park, Boroko, and it seems hard to believe that it was two months ago that the year kicked off at Ela Beach.
The popular “The Park” runs, which start in Lokua Avenue at 5pm, always throw up something exciting, with the dash around the playground to the finish line providing some spectacular dicing.
There are three courses on offer, over distances of 1.6km, 5km and 10.8km. Despite the best efforts of the race committee, some runners and even walkers manage to get lost.
The long course is particularly arduous as it takes in a sizeable chunk of Henao Drive and Gordon Ridge.
It all promises to be more fun. All runners and walkers are welcome.
The opening round of the Endurance Challenge is now only three weeks away.
