Wild and wacky animal adventure

By FRANKLIN DAHTU KOLMA
'The Wild' is a wild and wacky comedy-adventure about a lion named Samson (Fierce and imaginative in his story telling), his son Ryan (a true hearted lion cub whose only wish is to roar) and a bunch of other assorted animal friends from the New York Zoo. This fun loving wacky characters consist of: a squirrel named Benny (also Samson's best friend), an anaconda named Larry (a belly crawling lizard whose every action brinks on the edge of normality), a giraffe (who happens to be the only female animal in the zoo that Benny tries hard to get) and a koala named Nigel (whose sarcastic jokes and ways of behaving always seem to lead him to the wrong side of situations.
Together, this crew set out to find one of their members after a certain mistake leads him to an unknown place. It is during their trying to rescue this particular member that the team goes through an exhilarating as well as hilarious series of events, events that challenge as well as demoralize the group of friends. However, it is in their search for their lost ally that they come across an uprising, an uprising so great in numbers and in courage, that the only way to defeat this enemy is for the members to reach deep into their hearts and find the courage to do what their minds think is impossible. It is this in movie that truly shows how friends can stand together even to the end.
This crew and many other animals portray an unimaginable world where animals interact with each other and react to everything that happens around them to the best of their abilities.
I mean, sure there have been thousands of other animated films where talking animals make up the main cast, but this is different. All the characters have their own personalities and ways of interacting with their surroundings; everyone seems to be funny in their own unique way and everyone seems to have something to say at every turn.
This particular animated film has a lot of aspects to boast about in terms of the animation quality. One aspect that really interested me for sure was the very realistically recreated character models, all the animals looked and moved so much like their real life counterparts. Then there was the background and scenery which clearly showed the amount of effort put into the detailing of the smallest relevancies. The all around animation quality had a lot of people talking during the first two weeks of the films release and for me it was no different.
The other impressive factor about 'The Wild' is the people who brought the movie to us through hard work and dedication. Walt Disney Pictures (an animation revolutionizing giant) is the company behind 'The Wild'. The director Steve Williams and producer Clint Goldman, both worked day in and day out on character personalities, attitudes, movements and dialogue, and helped to revolutionize computer generated character animations. The voice casting was also worth noting, with names such as; Kiefer Sutherland, Jim Belushi, Greg Cipes and Eddie Izzard all working in unison.
The most notable thing about this film is the fun and laughter that is married to it (you can't watch it and not laugh, that would be seen as a crime). The jokes are so brilliantly executed and most of the jokes are interlinked to the main dialogue, which illuminates the thought that must have gone into making up the dialogue (Bill Cosby must've been inputting the scriptwriter because the types of jokes were the types that he usually shared with his audience and listeners).
The soundtracks on the film were totally awesome, because they really told the story indirectly and showed the mood. I found myself going back to the song parts after the movie; it was just the sort of songs that carries you away to another plane.
There were many very notable lessons in this wonderful movie; however, the main lesson in my point of view is that, everything will be a whole lot less complicated if you don't lie because it is when you lie, that you complicate matters for yourself.
