Compo claims not genuine
CERTAIN individuals have been claiming compensation for the use of land along some parts of the Okuk Highway between Balk and Tomba.
One payment was made last year and another is being processed by the Finance Department.
These people are not the real owners of the land and their claims are therefore false.
I believe certain people in the department are also working with these claimants.
It is unfortunate that the Works Department in Mt Hagen was burnt down recently as it kept documents which would prove that the claims are false.
I hope the police and other authorities will investigate.
