PM come clean on Moti saga

I HAVE been following the Moti affair in The National on a daily basis.
It is very interesting how events have been manipulated from the start and the lies told by everyone to cover up a certain individual.
Let us revisit certain events in the recent past and then relate it to the events leading up to the clandestine operation to fly Moti out of PNG.
1. Was it not Sir Michael Somare who was made to remove his sandals at the Brisbane airport by the Australian security officers, which made headline news in PNG?
2. Was it not Sir Michael’s government which demanded an apology from a recalcitrant John Howard but was told that he was treated like everybody else when it comes to security operations on Australian soil?
3. Was it not Sir Michael who avoided flying to New Caledonia via Brisbane on a commercial flight to receive his Grand Chief award and instead chartered an Air Niugini plane as a show of protest?
4. When the Australian government had a row with the Prime Minister of Solomon Islands, was it not Sir Michael who came to his support?
6. Did the strain in the relations between Sir Michael and Howard not become very evident during the Pacific Island countries’ meeting in Suva?
7. Deeply involved in all the above were Joshua Kalinoe in his official capacity as Chief Secretary to the Government and Leonard Louma in his capacity as Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister.
8. It is common knowledge that anything the Prime Minister is involved in has to involve the Chief Secretary and Chief of Staff.
Now let us piece together the puzzle to unravel the key players in this affair.
The key players are Sir Michael, Kalinoe, Louma and Joseph Asaigo.
From the four and anyone else who may be implicated, who has the strongest motive to spite Howard and hence Australia?
I find it extremely difficult to believe that Kalinoe has no knowledge of the operation.
It is equally difficult to believe that Louma acted without directives from above.
How could such a high-profile operation be initiated and executed by Asaigo alone?
The Prime Minister should come clean.
