Need for more awareness drive on
election

TOM Makire’s comments (March 8) are baseless and do not make sense.
The Electoral Commission had almost five years to plan, execute and carry out certain activities to ensure that the election this year proceeds smoothly.
If we cannot have elections this year, when would be the proper time?
Second, I do not think we can do much about the escalating law and order problems in most parts of the country but we carry out more awareness campaigns in the remaining months and tighten up security in all parts of the country.
If we do things logically, we can have a good election.
