Police arrest alleged killer

By PETER MIVA
A MAN was arrested and charged by police at Singiling village outside Lae last Friday for the alleged murder of his sister-in-law.
The suspect, identified by police as Robert Gangon, 33, of Goabadik village, Nawaeb district, Morobe province, was alleged to have had a fight with his brother at Singiling village, Bumayong, on Feb 8, and during the fight the suspect attempted to chase away the deceased whom he claimed was talking a lot.
It was alleged that the suspect threw a container , filled with petrol, at the woman as she was picking up a lamp.
The petrol came into contact with the lamp and as a result, it exploded, severely burning the woman, who was admitted to the Angau Memorial Hospital but died on Feb 13. Police, after completing their investigations, arrested the suspect
