Fed up over criticism of Aminis
I AM fed up of reading letters criticising the Amini family and their involvement in the Under-19 and women’s cricket teams.
I am not a member of the family nor am I from Hood Lagoon.
I am also not a member of either the Port Moresby or PNG cricket boards.
It is absurd and plain stupid for the writers to condemn and demean the family for having many members associated with the country’s cricket teams.
Complaints should be directed to the selectors and the PNG Cricket Board.
I suspect the critics are either people who have not been selected, former administrators or are individuals who just like to whinge.
If you believe you have something positive to contribute, get out of the cocoon and show us what you can do.
I commend the Amini parents for their initiative in encouraging their children and women folk to play cricket.
They were outstanding players and administrators of Aussie Rules in Port Moresby and PNG as well as cricket.
They have also contributed to the development of the country through their various roles in the public and private sectors, and the church.
Some members of the family have also serve the country overseas.
I also hope the media will stop publishing letters of such nature, where reputation is smeared and animosity created.
