Digicel’s overseas ‘Call Me’ service on
DIGICEL yesterday launced a new service called “International Call Me” in which customers can ask their families and friends overseas to call them.
It’s simple – all a customer has to do is to enter *126*, enter the country code and the mobile number of the person whom you are requesting to call you, press the # key and then hit the send button.
For example, if one were to send the ‘International Call Me’ request to Australia, he or she would press *126*61mobile number#.
Requests can be sent to over 65 countries worldwide and the minimum credit balance to make the request is K0.25.
All Digicel customers will have access to a maximum of 14 free “Call Me” requests per week.
The new call service can be used for national and/or international “Call Me” requests.
Digicel PNG chief executive Kevin O’Sullivan said of the new service: “The International Call Me! service is another bonus for Digicel customers.
“We are seeing the success of the Call Me service. With international Call Me our customers will be able to reach their loved ones overseas for free.”
