| Aid from Japanese govt much appreciated | |
|
AS a health student and a citizen of
Papua New Guinea, I would like to thank the Japanese government and the
“Grant assistance for grassroots human security projects” for funding
K210,428.79 to fight malaria in PNG last week. Malaria is now one of the leading killers in PNG. Hundreds have died and thousands are suffering from this killer disease. Health workers tried their best to reduce the rate but they can do only so much. But the funding from the Japanese government has given us a boost and we will work extra hard to fight and reduce the rate of malaria in cities, towns and remote parts of our country.
