Lone
memories
It’s just an empty space
That reminds me of your face
Lost in this moment
Seem endless
Here I am in little faith
Caught up in sorrow
Without you with me
I can’t face this world no more
Nobody left in this world
To turn to
When in need of a friend
Nobody left in this world
To walk me through
To the end
To watch every moment
Slowly fade away
As you still linger
On my lonely mind
I think about when
It was all said and done
And I feel like I’m broken
Though you never saw me fall apart
I could pretend and say, everything is alright
It’s just emotions
It won’t take away my stride
Though it’s o over and done with
The heart ache lives on inside
And all is just memories
And memories are all I have
To take with me
On this lonesome road
That now
I walk alone

Hear our prayer
Tis true to say
the devil’s in our midst
having a feast
for the pasture lies derelict
under the city’s scorching heat
Bystanders watch silently in disbelief
as God’s harvest is left
to wither in near defeat
Evil lies distort the message
destroy many a Christian life
planting the seeds of spiritual starvation
Oh so fit for the folly
empty pews the evidence
So the congregation grieves
when the preacher aint coming
the sick, lonely, hungry
they are waiting
But there’s no care for the pastor says
“There’s no allowance for visitation
he’d rather wait for the funeral.
The prayer warrior is on overtime
prayers and pleas heavenward bound
petitions for God our Father to intervene
save us from this misery
where evil spews its venom on our feet
keep us clean from such filth
Darkness closes up on us
engulfing us in its grit
so keep us fit from defeat

Once
When I say see you later
I mean in a few minutes time
And when I say catch up
I mean when I see you next
But when I say good bye
I mean that it’s been nice knowing you
Though the grass will grow after the rain
It will wither and die in the baking sun
And if a drought should prolong
The earth shall swallow them up
Even if the easterlies should blow
They will eventually subside
And though they whisper their names
They too shall vacate our minds
For fragile is life
Short lived, our right
Eternity sleeps forever
For you can only live once
