Mudman Gardener… When in Rome, do what the Romans do, so was it any wonder that PNG Gardener Justine Thatchenko lived up to the adage when he visited Komunive village, the home of the Asaro Mudmen in the Eastern Highlands province this week? He donned the famed mudmen mask and went through the motion of dance with the mudmen (above) before saying, "From Komunive mudmen village, we wish you happy gardening". The PNG Gardener programme was organised by the PNG Coffee Festival and Trade Fair Incorporated as a lead-up to the event in May this year. - Nationalpic by JAMES KILA.
